Mason Road is located 2 miles from the Horse and Buddy therapeutic riding facility where horse enthusiasts volunteer to help children with learning disabilities and physical disabilities learn to ride and enjoy a horse's company.

In addition, Harris Lake and the American Tobacco Trails offers numerous paths for biking and running. And, don't forget, there's your own indoor sport court for shooting hoops or working on your baseball swing inside the helicopter hangar right on the property at Pinnacle Farm.
Nearby Umstead Park is also an enjoyable riding trail in the Raleigh area (about 45 min. from Mason Road) and is popular with all horse enthusiasts in the area. Southern Pines, NC is located within 35 minutes south of New Hill and is the home of many Olympic equestrians, professional riding instructors and the Moss Foundation that has hundreds of acres to trail ride on anytime.

Apex is located 10 minutes from the farm and has a quaint and historic downtown area with surrounding businesses and establishments for dining and entertainment. Take a day trip with the folks staying in your guest house to the downtown area's Peak City. Apex is also home to several family produce farms. Families can pick strawberries from the fields in spring, enjoy fresh summer produce and wind down the season with pick-your-own pumpkins.
Raleigh, NC is the home of the State Fair and many equestrian events, rodeos and horse sales at the Hunt Horse Complex. Downtown Raleigh is just 20 minutes by car and offers fine restaurants, museums, performing arts, city parks and more.
